Biography
Sven Samson graduated from college in Belgium with a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, which was the springboard for acceptance at the Belgian Aviation School to start training as an airline pilot for Sabena Airlines. After graduation, a hiring freeze for pilots was occurring, which led Sven to start his professional aviation career not as a pilot but as the assistant support manager in the engineering and maintenance department for DHL/EAT International on the large body Airbus A300.
A native of Belgium, in 1999, Sven came to the United States to continue flight training to become a professional pilot and flight instructor certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. After graduation from the Comair Aviation Academy (Delta Airlines), he worked as a professional flight and ground instructor, corporate pilot, and has been the chief instructor for multiple large and small U.S. training companies. He has been a professional aviator for over 20 years. During this time he also obtained a second undergraduate degree in professional aeronautics followed by a graduate degree in aviation science from the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
